A HISTORICAL SETTING

Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and the ancient Langeudoc hills Faugères is a perfect place to while away a few weeks at any time of the year. The history of the village itself stretches all the way back to medieval times. Even today, much of Faugères' ancient heritage is still apparent.

Faugères is a small place with a population of around 300 or so. However, there is a local shop in Faugères from which you can buy food and order baguettes for the morning. There is also daily bread van, which stops outdide the front door selling baguettes and pastries, a small cafe, a tourist information office at the windmills and a free village tennis court.

 

 

 

LOCATION

Faugères Villa is located in the departement of Herault deep in the sleepy Languedoc. Faugères is just 30 minutes drive from the Mediterranean coast. The nearest major towns are Bedariéux and Béziers where there are all the amenties you might need. The local roads are all very good so getting about is easy.
